The SansAmp Character Plus Screaming Blonde follows the concept of the popular Character Plus Series pedals, which shrinks legendary combinations of classic amp circuits and historic stompboxes into a practical pedal format. Here, the two-channel pedals convince with their authentic interaction between both simulated components and an enormous adaptability to the most diverse sound ideas and areas of application. Of course, the Character Plus pedals rely on 100% analogue SansAmp technology to combine first-class sounds with intuitive control options.
Within the Tech 21 SansAmp Character Plus Screaming Blonde is a widely used amplifier model with classic US voicing, which for decades has recorded numerous fans of clear country sounds to stadium-filling rock sounds. Here, the Char control provides tonal variety, and a tremendous variety of different US amps to call up. In addition, the Screaming Blonde offers two identically constructed and foot-switchable channels, making two potential sounds available at any time.
As a simulated stompbox, the Scream section is a true classic. The circuit of the bright green effect pedal can be found on numerous pedalboards and impresses with its wide range of applications. Thus, the pedal can be used either as an 'always on' boost for the preamp with an additional midrange boost, or as a classic overdrive effect that makes even the cleanest preamps scream. The OD circuit is of course controlled via a classic three-knob layout with controls for Level, Tone and Overdrive, and all the sounds of the prototype can be called up in the same way.
