With the TimeLine MX Multi-Delay, Strymon presents the next stage of its flagship delay unit. Equipped with a powerful tri-core 800 MHz ARM processor, the TimeLine MX offers significantly more processing power and, with its dual-engine architecture , opens up entirely new possibilities for sound design. As with the Big Sky MX, Strymon has equipped the new version with two effects engines that can be operated simultaneously. The effects can be routed in series, in parallel or via a split signal path, making it easy to create complex delay and ambient sounds. A high-resolution OLED display, extensive MIDI functions and USB-C round off this new delay pedal, making it the perfect addition to any setup!
Strymon has placed particular emphasis on the completely redesigned effects section. In addition to the new Spectral Engine, which is based on a musical granular delay concept, the TimeLine MX features a flexible MultiTap delay, in which each individual tap can be customised in terms of level, panning, filtering and other parameters. Also new is the Drum Delay, whose multi-head structure enables complex rhythmic echo patterns. Also new on board is the engine from the Olivera Oil Can Delay, which authentically recreates the sound of classic oil-can delays with its characteristically dark and organically unpredictable vintage echo.
Another major innovation is the integration of a full-featured reverb engine, taken directly from the BigSky MX. As a result, the TimeLine MX combines high-quality delay and reverb algorithms in a single pedal, opening up entirely new possibilities for expansive ambient soundscapes and complex effect combinations. The pedal is complemented by a stereo looper with up to five minutes of recording time, reverse and half-speed functions, as well as stereo inputs and outputs, making the TimeLine MX an ideal choice as a powerful effects hub for the stage, the studio and discerning sound designers.
