In this article, we will give you an insight into the world of Cajons and explain what they are, what types exist, and who they are suitable for.

2. What are Cajons?

A Cajon is a type of box drum, usually made of wood, although there are also models made of plastic or aluminum. The front of the Cajon has a striking surface on which the player can create rhythms using their hands or beaters. The use of snare wires inside the Cajon can enhance and refine the sound.

There are numerous Cajon variants differing in size, material, and sound. The classic Cajon is about 50 to 60 centimeters high, 30 to 40 centimeters wide, and 30 to 35 centimeters deep.
