Read more...What began in 1875 by Johannes Link with the production of military drums and drum skins developed over the decades into a world-famous company for drum and percussion instruments. The Sonor trademark was registered with the Imperial Patent Office in 1907, and in 1925 Sonor became the largest company of its kind at the time with almost 150 employees.
After difficult post-war years and the embargo of the founding Link family by the GDR, the company was rebuilt in Aue/Westphalia in 1946. Consul Otto Link, son of the company founder, and his son Horst turned the original drum workshop into a modern business and a world-famous company. Sonor drums are appreciated by drummers and percussionists for their high manufacturing and sound quality.
