Kenmerken:
The good:
- Great sounding device sounds exactly as the original signal going in. Much better sounding than loopers from Boss or Digitech that I have heard.
- Very easy to use. There are a number of loopers out there with far more features, but they are complex and require sitting or your knees and fiddling with a lot of knobbies. This is really a guitar players’ device, where practically everything is done with the 2 foot switches.
- You can add an infinite amount of layers, with absolutely zero quality loss.
- True bypass.
- Ideal for improvising against chord progressions, or studying solos. I also use this to build complete tracks, starting with the chords, then add base notes, melody lines, some atmospheric stuff etc. Within a day the family commented that I sounded like a full band. And I’m not even a good player ☺.
- Tracks can be uploaded to Mac or PC (AIFF and WAV format), and reloaded again. You can also download backing tracks from a website, but I haven’t tried that yet.
- Tracks remain stored even if you turn the power off.
The bad:
- You can store only one track at the time a few banks to store current projects would be a great addition.
- It remains a challenge to get the timing of a loop (going from the end back to the beginning of the cycle) without glitches. But that counts for all loopers.
- Line out is at the top end, instead of at the left side of the pedal, which is impractical on an already full pedalboard. But that may be just me.
The sound is great and exactly the way you played it. The separate Stop-button really adds to your versatilty and makes it useful for live use. Also, the effects can be used while AND after recording the loop, meaning that instead of 2x slow, you can use it as 2x fast as well.
Figuring out the buttons cost me a few days, but now I think its just great. Costs almost the double of the original Ditto, but definitely worth the bucks.
This is a well thought through pedal. Very good sound quality. It really invites you to start being creative. But also for practicing your harmonic and rhythmical skills.. Go buy this looper.
