The DRCustoms Amp Style Series Aligator Finish Shell-Set is a professional drum kit with an extraordinary finish, namely a Tolex synthetic leather cover in crocodile look. The drum set consists of a 22"x20" bass drum, a 12"x8" tom and a 16"x14" floor tom. The shell hardware is in Black Chrome finish. The Amp Style Series Aligator Finish Shell Set is completely handmade in Germany by DRCustoms according to the American custom drum principle. The drum shells are equipped with Evans heads and consist of 8-layer beech wood and were developed and manufactured according to a special recipe by DRCustoms.
The DRCustoms Amp Style Series Aligator Finish Shell-Set has the special feature that it is, like a guitar amp, covered with Tolex in crocodile leather look. This results in a very special haptic and a unique optical overall picture. If you are looking for a drum set with an extravagant finish, this is the right set for you. The positive side effect of the finish is that the sound is minimally compressed and a little lower. This results in a rich, shor,t yet well-balanced sound with a high portion of low bass.
The 8-layer beech shells with a thickness of 8 mm for the bass drum and 5.5 mm for the toms create a warm, deep and harmonious overall impression. The entire drum shell hardware is designed in the noble Black Chrome finish, which harmonizes perfectly with the dark Tolex cover of the shells. The drumheads on the DRCustoms drums all come from Evans, the toms have G2 coated drumheads and on the bass drum an Evans EQ3.
