With the Fender JV Modified '50s Stratocaster HSS MN 2-Color Sunburst, the US guitar giant Fender combines classic design elements of the legendary Fifties Stratocaster with modernized modifications as found on the highly sought-after 'Japanese Vintage' models of the Eighties. The result is an extremely powerful electric guitar with flexible HSS pickup setup, additional switching options and some useful hardware upgrades. including gig bag!

Thick Soft V maple neck with satin finish

The Fender JV Modified '50s Stratocaster HSS MN 2-Color Sunburst relies on a beefy Fifties neck made of maple, whose Thick Soft V profile is modeled after the feel of classic Fifties Stratocaster models. Here, the Satin Finish on the back of the neck provides a comfortable thumb rest and smooth layer changes across the 21 frets in medium-jumbo format, while the modernized fretboard radius of 9.5" skillfully emphasizes both secure chord playing and controlled bending.

The Fender JV Modified '50s Stratocaster HSS MN 2-Color Sunburst offers classic Strat feel, a powerful HSS setup with coil-split option, and tuning-stable locking tuners.

Relatively untypical for the Fifties version of the famous Stratocaster is the HSS setup of the Fender JV Modified '50s Stratocaster HSS MN 2-Color Sunburst, which consists of two traditional vintage-style single coils in neck and middle position and a Fender Hot Vintage Alnico humbucker on the bridge. The two single coils produce classic Strat sounds, while the bridge provides additional power to push the amp into the realms of hard rock and metal when needed. However, the push/pull function of the second tone control can also be switched to the somewhat tamer coil Split mode, and the bridge position can also elicit clear and airy single coil sounds.
