Ash body with Relic treatment

Like the first Fender solidbody instruments of the 1950s, the body of the Fender Precision Bass Relic MN 2-Color Sunburst is made of solid ash wood to give it its distinctive basic sound. Thanks to the Relic treatment of the nitrocellulose finish, the timeless 2-color sunburst lacquer already shows authentic traces of a genuine original ex works. The basic construction of the Fender Precision Bass Relic is complemented by a quarter-sawn maple neck with a '60s oval C profile, which is particularly resistant to the effects of temperature and humidity thanks to its cut.

Fender Custom Shop '62 Split-Coil Pickup

The Fender Precision Bass Relic MN 2-Color Sunburst gets its multi-faceted sound spectrum from its hand-wound Custom Shop '62 split-coil pickup, which is hidden under the classic chrome cover. The pickup, wound according to the proven recipe of the early sixties, is up for any kind of fun and offers everything a bassist's heart desires, from a deep growling growl to an expressive mid-range and clear, resolving highs. The wiring is also based on the original and consists of a volume control and an additional tone control to attenuate the treble.
