These high quality drums made by Gretsch were named after the place where the traditional manufacturer came into the world in 1883: Brooklyn, New York. A city district that represents artistic expression more than any other contemporary, with fresh innovations and passionate musical devotion. By combining classic Gretsch elements and modern features the Gretsch Brooklyn Drums create a sound that reflects the legendary Gretsch sound with all its classic sound fragments in the foundation, but at the same time also supplies those modern sounds that are in demand among the popular music styles of today. The shells of the Gretsch Brooklyn Drums consist of a total of 6 layers of a maple / poplar wood combination. The interior of the Brooklyn shells are coated with the legendary Silver Sealer. The edges of the shell have a bearing edge of 30°. The single-ply drumheads by Remo support the open sound of these drums. The chic, round Brooklyn metal badge with the famous Gretsch logo is made from aluminium, and together with the chrome shell hardware as well as the satin and nitro wrap finishes, produce a premium optical symbiosis.
