The Byzance cymbals are made according to old hand-craftsmanship tradition in Turkey where they are hammered into shape by hand. At home in Gutenstetten the precious sheets of B20 bronze are then given 6 different Byzance finishes with help from state-of-the-art technology. This combination of tradition and high-tech has given the Byzance cymbals their place among the world's greats.
The Vintage Pure Ride Series
Popular for their unmistakably low, dark and dry sound, the Byzance Vintage Series is receiving offspring in the form of two Ride cymbal variations - the Vintage Pure Ride and the Vintage Pure Light Ride. With their distinctive sound, these cymbals are best suited for all musical styles that require a slightly calmer tonal attack. The raw appearance and the harmonic sound are the result of a sand-blasted surface and extremely dense hammering.
