Meng Qi DU-KRPLS is a Synth Voice module for modules Synthesizer in Eurorack format. As with the Meng Qi Karp Karplus Strong algorithm, which emulates the sound of stringed instruments, the module's sound generation is based on this algorithm. The sound of the module is determined by four parameters (Pitch, Rate, Depth and Decay), all of which can be controlled via CV. As a special feature there are small errors in the algorithm which influence the sound. It reminds of Circuit Bending and influences the Decy parameter in particular. DU-KRPLS But in contrast to the Meng Qi Karp Karp . A button is used to toggle between the three available waveforms triangle, rectangle and sine.

Karplus-Strong algorithm

The Karplus-Strong algorithm was introduced in 1983 and a patent was applied for. It is a kind of physical modeling based on a feedback loop. The Karplus-Strong algorithm is the forerunner and simplest form of digital waveguide synthesis.
