Sound Devices MP-1

The MP-1 from Sound Devices is a practical and portable studio-quality microphone preamplifier for critical radio, television and film applications. The battery-powered preamp is extremely robust and can withstand even the most extreme situations - its longevity is therefore pre-programmed.

Simple and effective

The device provides clear, virtually silent amplification of up to 66dB. In addition to the selectable 48V or 12V phantom power, the transformer-balanced microphone amplifier offers a low-cut filter that can be switched between 80Hz and 160Hz (or flat), while an integrated limiter prevents overdriving. Only two AA batteries are required for operation, which can easily be pushed into the slot on the back next to the XLR connections.
