With the Taylor Academy 12e LH, Taylor chief designer Andy Powers presents a left-handed Grand Concert Western guitar that offers beginners and advanced players a first-class instrument with outstanding playing comfort and excellent sound. The solid top made of Sitka spruce promises a particularly lively, brilliant sound, while the armrest, which could previously only be found on the clearly expensive Taylor 900 and Presentation Series guitars, guarantees a high level of playing comfort. In addition, Taylor's in-house ES-B pickup system provides the transparent sound for the stage.
Based on the Grand Concert body shape developed by Taylor Guitars, the Taylor Academy 12e LH is the ideal acoustic guitar for finger pickers and folk guitarists. The compact body made of laminated Sapele in combination with the solid top made of Sitka spruce promises a lively and appealing sound, which offers the perfect basis for expressive western guitar playing with vocal mids and brilliant highs. The armrest on the upper frame promises a comfortable playing position, while the neck convinces with a comfortable profile and a 24,875" scale length (632 mm) that can be played on as soft as butter.
Equipped with the ES-B pickup system, the Taylor Academy 12e LH is ideally suited for use on stage or in recording studios. The pickup, which is based on the Expression System 2, convinces with a particularly natural and surprisingly dynamic reproduction of the guitar tone, so that nothing stands in the way of expressive guitar playing.
The preamp of the ES-B system provides tone and volume controls to adjust the sound and volume, while the integrated tuner ensures the good tuning of the acoustic guitar.
