Met de OC818 Live Set brengt Austrian Audio een frisse wind in je studio en biedt een buitengewone oplossing voor de opnameruimte of diverse live situaties. Een bijzonderheid hierbij is een tweede uitgang per microfoon, waarmee producenten, ingenieurs, muzikanten en toekomstgerichte artiesten de achterwaarts gerichte capsule apart kunnen opnemen. Samen met de gratis open source PolarDesigner software voor Mac en PC, levert het ongeëvenaarde capsulecontrole en polaire patroonaanpassing tussen één en vijf banden met selecteerbare overgangspunten.
En om de OC818 flexibel in real time te configureren voor complexe live toepassingen of tijdens de soundcheck, kan een optionele Bluetooth-Dongle aan de achterkant van de behuizing worden bevestigd. Vervolgens biedt de PolarPilot App voor Android en iOS toegang tot het gedrag van beide capsules, het hoogdoorlaatfilter en de padswitch. Deze speciale tool maakt een ongekend aantal van 255 discrete polaire patronen tussen acht, alle cardioïde versies tot en met omnidirectionele versies, mogelijk.
De Oostenrijkse Audio OC818 Live Set wordt geleverd in een koffer met twee OC818 grootmembraan condensatormicrofoons, twee OCH8 microfoonklemmen, OCC8 Mini-XLR adapters en een OCW8 windscherm per microfoon.
Austrian Audio OC818 Live SetWe were having some problems with either the room or the Mic that we were using (probably the Mic as it was the only one giving us some annoying resonances) and after some consideration, we decided to take a chance and put this mic to the test, recording strings and background vocals. I'm absolutely happy with the result and we managed to get some insanely good recordings with this microphone, which will save us a lot of time when mixing the tracks. I haven't been able to try out all of the additional features yet, but I don't think that this Mic will spend much time inside of its case - and I'm already thinking about getting a second one (and replacing the previous pair - but it may not even be needed with the dual capsule) Also: great service by Music Store Professional and thanks for getting this Mic to us on time to re-record the parts that we wanted. This really saved our recording session this week.
