First of all compliments to Music Store, who shipped from Cologne to Amsterdam in a mere two days. Now for the M4U eX: i had an earlier M4U model that could mostly do splits. I ordered this because I needed a good midi merge functionality and the manual said stuff such as 'merge up to 7 sources' and 'each input or output defines it's own functionality'. Well... almost! In merge mode, it wil ONLY direct the first seven input to the one remaining output. The capability of defining its own in- and outputs is only practical when you want to assign input 1 to output 5, 2 to 6 etc.
So, I expected slightly more then what I got, and I'll have to hold on to those trusted ancient eighties Philip Rees-boxes until they die on me. I'm also slightly annoyed that in standalone setting, it will default to thru mode on startup and does not remember the 'last mode setting'. Oh well..
